Learn Italian, travel Italy, and connect more deeply, with guidance from a native Italian teacher
You want to speak Italian. Or you want Italy to feel less like a tourist and more like home. I can help with both.
I’m a native Italian teacher from Naples, based in Verona. I teach Italian to adults who are serious about it, and I help travelers plan trips that go beyond the highlights. Below is everything I currently offer.
Pick what fits where you are right now.
Speak Italian Story Club
Read and listen to real Italian, at your level. Every day, at your pace.
Most Italian content for learners sounds like a textbook. Story Club doesn’t.
I write and record original stories, legends, conversations, and cultural pieces. Every piece is tagged by CEFR level, from A2 to C2, so you always know exactly what you’re reading. Key vocabulary is tappable inside the text, so you pick up words in context instead of from a list.
Story Club works well if you’re past the basics but still find real Italian too fast, too dense, or too unfamiliar. You don’t need a fixed schedule. You open it when you have 10 minutes and read something that sounds like Italy.
Access to Story Club comes with a paid subscription to the Speak Italian Like a Local newsletter on Substack.

Italian Group Classes
Live, small-group Italian classes for confident beginners
These classes are for adults who’ve studied Italian before, through apps, classes, or just trips, but still freeze up when it’s time to actually speak.
We go back to the foundations, but the goal isn’t grammar drills. It’s getting you comfortable enough to hold a real conversation. Classes are small, live, and taught in a calm environment where making mistakes is part of the process.
A few things that make these different from most group classes: I explain grammar in English when it’s genuinely useful, we spend most of our time on spoken practice with actual Italian, and I keep the groups small enough that you’re not just listening to other people talk.
These classes aren’t for complete beginners. If you’ve never studied Italian at all, start with the free resources below and come back when you have some foundation.

Italian Language Content & Free Resources
The best place to start if you’re just getting into Italian
Through the blog, newsletter, and podcast, I share practical Italian language content focused on how Italian is actually spoken, not how it appears in textbooks. There’s also cultural context in everything, because language makes more sense when you understand the people behind it.
If you’re planning a trip and want to understand a few things before you land, or if you’re just curious about Italian and not ready to commit to anything, start here.

Italy Travel Planning & Consulting
Italy travel planning
Personalized Italy travel consulting with real local knowledge
Most travel guides cover the same 40 places and call it comprehensive. This is different.
I offer three ways to work together, depending on where you are in your planning:
Your Italy Travel Designer – A 26-page self-guided planner built around a method, not a checklist. Travel style quiz, route builder, city-to-night calculator, fill-in templates for 7, 10, and 14-night trips, and a final booking checklist to run before you confirm anything irreversible. The right place to start if you’re in the early stages and want to build your trip the right way from the beginning.
Italy Itinerary Review – You’ve built a plan. Send it to me before you book flights. I go through every city, every routing decision, every night count and tell you what holds and what won’t, with specific alternatives where the fix isn’t obvious. Back to you in writing within 48 hours.
Full Local Intelligence – The complete itinerary review plus personalised restaurant and accommodation recommendations for every city in your trip. The places I’d tell a friend about, matched to your travel style. Not from a database.

Not sure where to start?

- If your main goal is to speak Italian with more confidence, the group classes or Story Club are the right place.
- If you’re planning a trip and want help thinking it through, travel consulting is for you.
- If you’re at the very beginning, start with the free resources.
- Still unsure? Send me a message and tell me where you are. I’ll tell you what makes sense.
